La Casa de América (Madrid) acogió la exposición de la obra del taller nicarag&uulml;ense de grabado "Casa de los tres Mundos".
El colectivo de grabadores de la fundación "Casa de los tres mundos" de Granada (Nicaragua), está compuesto por un grupo de jóvenes que, procedentes de la pintura, se inician en esta técnica artística a partir de 1989.
En su formación intervino la mano de maestros tan indiscutibles como Francisco Alvarez, Jacinto Lara, Juan Bernardo Ponce, Leopoldo Morales Praxedis o Gottfried Helnwein. ...

Beginning November 3 the gallery showcases recent paintings by Gottfried Helnwein. A Swiss-born artist whose work spans a broad spectrum of media, Helnwein was strongly influenced by the dark, devastated world he perceived as a child in post–World War II Europe. The child, for Helnwein, is the symbol of innocence, but also innocence betrayed.
In today's world, the malevolent forces of war, poverty, sexual exploitation, and the numbing predatory influence of modern media assault the virtue of children. Helnwein--who grew up in Austria in the years following World War II in the somber atmosphere of a defeated country that had embraced Nazism--has an emotional tie to children who have been robbed of experiencing childhood without trauma. Since his earliest works, he has linked children with pain, or the suggestion of pain. The wounded child became for him a metaphor for the chaos of an emotionally vacant world. ...
