For me, the real highpoint of Conversations is the 1992 interview with Gottfried Helnwein, the Austrian-born creative genius whom Donald Ault has justly called "One of the greatest conceptual artists of the past hundred years."

That sucks....but he's a better painter than I am, and he has the distinction of being one of the only post WWII artists that german right wingers have labeled "degenerate art", which is practically an endorsement as far as I'm concerned.
